Harbour and history

Eurajoki’s coastal history has been shaped by the relationship between river, sea and farmland. Water routes connected settlements in the river valley with transport along the coast. The harbour setting therefore belongs to a wider Satakunta landscape in which estate agriculture and maritime livelihoods developed alongside one another.

Culture and local stories

Vuojoki Manor forms an important part of the region’s architectural heritage. Designed by Carl Ludvig Engel, its Empire-style buildings place the history of the estate within the surrounding landscape. This riverside heritage provides another perspective on Eurajoki beyond its coastal traffic.
