Harbour and history

Kasnäs lies in southern Kimitoön’s archipelago, where the harbour brings boating and coastal services together. Its recent development is associated with fish farming and processing. The Liljeqvist family entered the industry in the 1980s and expanded into guest-harbour services in 1995.

Culture and local stories

The local story reflects changing island livelihoods. Tourism, accommodation and food services developed alongside fish production. The family enterprise illustrates how work connected with the sea, and food drawn from it, acquired new forms in the archipelago’s visitor culture.
