Kronvik’s harbour setting belongs to the Sundom coast near Vaasa. Sawmilling forms part of its industrial background, linked with coastal transport. The relationship between harbour and village can also be read in buildings that later acquired community uses.

The Sundom local-history publication Murmursunds Allehanda records the villages and their people. In Kronvik, a former sawmill office became a village hall. This change of purpose shows how an industrial memory can remain part of everyday life as a meeting place for the local community.
