Teijo – port calls

Teijo's waterside ironworks

Teijo ironworks date from the seventeenth century. Production buildings cluster beside the shore and river. Charcoal kilns near the loading pier recall the connection between ironmaking and water transport.

Manor and church

The manor built in 1770, its park and the church of 1830 complete the setting. The church's stepped tower distinguishes this nationally significant industrial and residential heritage landscape.
